Mission Viejo High School Instrumental Music

MusicNotes Week of 1/25

Week of January 25
Woodwinds and Brass Can Play!
(Waiver required)

Good news!!! We have an update concerning playing wind instruments at school. If your student is a string or percussion player, they have already been allowed to play at school. Woodwind and brass players, your time is coming soon! When we return to school in January, we will start rehearsals in person during class. The district’s statement, and a waiver are attached. THE WAIVER IS REQUIRED BEFORE YOUR STUDENT IS ALLOWED TO PLAY. Please return it to Mr. Westphal.

Let’s Talk College
Are you starting to think about, plan for, or apply to colleges and hoping to continue with music? If you’re looking for help getting connected with colleges and programs that might be a fit for you, consider reaching out to John Mathiesen, National Director for Perfect College Match. Mr. Mathiesen has been a longtime friend of MVHS Music Boosters and looks forward to hearing from our parents and student musicians to discuss how he might be able to help students find the perfect college. For more info, or to start a conversation, please fill out the form below:
