Program Donations & Fundraisers
Program donations are now being accepted! We need everyone’s participation in order to retain our outstanding coaching staff and provide our students with everything necessary for the season. Recurring Payments can also be made if you prefer, or you can send checks made out to MVHSIMBA with your student or use the QR code! Requested donation amounts are:
  • $575 for Marching Band/Color Guard
  • $250 for Concert Ensembles (Wind Ensemble, Orchestra)
  • $150 for Jazz Band
As a reminder you are only asked to pay the higher program donation if your student is in multiple groups this semester. Thank you for helping us fund our program!
The National Discount Card Sales Fundraiser is going on right now. As of this writing, we have sold 125 cards, well under our goal of 1800! Please, if your student has not downloaded the app, Scoreboard FR, please have them do so immediately.  Have them text their friends, relatives, neighbors etc…asking everyone they know to buy one. We have ⅓ of the music students who have not even downloaded the app on their phone and of the ⅔ who have, ⅓ of those have not made even one sale. No bueno. This fundraiser benefits the entire program, not one ensemble. Please, let’s bring these numbers up, There is potential to earn a lot of money, but the entire team needs to participate.
You can earn your program donation (s) by participating in LEGENDS.  Legends is a concert series at the 5 Point Amphitheatre July – Nov.. You work a concession stand for a few or several concerts and a donation is made to the program that will cover your program donations and more. Funds received by the program can not be cashed out, but can be transferred to another activity if needed. You can not purchase anything with the funds earned either. It covers program donations and trips costs (If need be). Mandatory training is required prior to participation. There will be one last training This Monday evening, Aug 30th at 6:30 in the choir room.
MVHS Field Show (aka Home Comp)
We are excited to welcome back our Music Program’s biggest event “The MVHS Field Show Tournament” (aka Home Comp) on Saturday, October 2nd. Every year this event has assisted us in much needed funds to continue our wonderful music program here at MVHS. We are asking ALL music program parents and/or guardians from the wind ensemble, orchestra, marching band, drumline and color guard to help us by volunteering at this event. Join us for some fun and enjoy meeting other music families. All volunteers who sign-up for a slot will receive complimentary admission! Also, the programs need various donations to help support Home Comp.
Our next Home Comp Planning meeting is scheduled for August 31st @7pm (every Tuesday through 9/28) in the band room (or adjacent locker room). We have lead roles that need to be filled for the event. Please consider attending the meeting or contact us if you are interested in these lead roles:

Our Soda & Snack Wars start next week. Help your student earn points for a special grand prize by sending in donations of soda, chips and desserts. See the flyer for assignments and make sure to label your donations so your section gets credit. May the best section win!
Marching Band & Color Guard News
  • Make sure your student has turned in their Authorization to Treat a Minor form and uploaded their physical info to athleticclearance.com
  • Interested in volunteering? We are gathering a group of parents to distribute the workload and increase the fun! There are tasks that can be done from home, volunteering with the band at football games or comps, and everything in between! Please email marchingband@mvhsmusic.com to join the MB parent committee or to find out more about it. WE NEED YOU!

ShopWithScrip/RaiseRight: Buy gift cards (physical cards and e-cards) from your favorite brands and a portion goes back to MVHSIMBA. Download the RaiseRight app on your phone to easily browse over 750 restaurants, stores, online shopping sites, and more that participate.

Textile Drives: We collect textiles (clothing, drapery, bedding, shoes, purses, etc) year round, for which we receive a set amount per pound. It is a great way to support the Instrumental Music program, AND a great way to clean out your closet and your neighbors closet! Text the Booster President at 949-981-5262 to arrange a pickup.
AmazonSmile: A percentage of eligible purchases made through AmazonSmile are donated to the Instrumental Music program at NO EXTRA COST TO YOU! To register, visit smile.amazon.com and select Mission Viejo High School Instrumental Music Boosters Association as your charitable organization. Then do all of your normal Amazon shopping through the AmazonSmile site.
Ralphs Community Giving Program: A percentage of your grocery purchases are donated to the Instrumental Music program at NO EXTRA COST TO YOU! It is as simple as registering your Reward Card and selecting Mission Viejo High School Instrumental Music Boosters Association as the program to which you wish to donate. NOTE: The Ralph’s Giving Program requires you to renew your selection every September 1st.
Corporate Matching: Many companies will match your charitable donation to MVHSIMBA, some up to 100%! Please check with your employer to see if they participate in a matching program. This is a FREE way for you to double your donation!
