June 1 Update
Equipment Drop Off/Pick Up: Fri, June 5
At this point, you should have received information regarding Equipment Returns. The day for the music program is Friday, June 5. If you have anything at all from the music department, we need to see you on Friday. We will collect any instruments that are school instruments, and re-check them out to you if you would like to keep borrowing it. If you have any music, flip folders, mutes, rosin, etc. that belongs to the program, please come on Friday. Remember, to follow the recommendations of the school regarding masks, social distancing, and coming at your assigned time.

Awards Night
Awards Night for the music program is still scheduled for the evening of Thursday, June 4 at 7pm. Awards night will be held online, via Zoom. We are excited to celebrate this year and all the music students! Emails and remind messages will be sent out with the Zoom invite information, so be watching for those. We are excited to celebrate our students!
SENIORS: Remember to send in your stuff for the slideshow! If you don’t know what that is, email Mr. Westphal at robert.westphal@svusd.org.

Looking to the Future
Assuming student students can return to school in the fall, Band Camp is tentatively set for August 3-14 (Monday-Friday each week). Please note that school starts August 17, so everything has been moved up two weeks.

How Can I Help the Music Program During this Time?
The music program is always taking program donations online. Each donation helps to fund a well rounded music program! Please consider adding an extra 3% to your donation to cover the online fees through Paypal. Thank you for supporting the music program!
***TAX DEDUCTIONS for 2020 Donations: The C.A.R.E.S. act allows for a $300 DEDUCTIBLE contribution to MVHSIMBA for families EVEN IF YOU DON’T ITEMIZE!!!

During all this craziness we are still COLLECTING TEXTILES! Clothes, shoes, purses, sleeping bags, curtains, towels, sheets, stuffed animals…
Please have in plastic kitchen garbage bags. Text 949-981-5262 with your address and leave out by your garage. We will pick it up usually between 5 and 8pm in the evening. Let your neighbors know too!

We have 20 positions to fill for next year’s Boosters… take a look at the list and see if you would like to fill any of these positions! Being on the Booster Board is a fun way to be involved in the Music Program. The Music Program cannot operate without parent help!
