Senior Spotlight
This week, we are featuring our jazz and concert band seniors!

Connor Gerard- I played in the jazz band for 4 years playing drum set and percussion. I plan to continue playing music through college and the rest of my life.
Jane Kim-Though I have made many good memories from being a part of the music program, my favorite memory is performing at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts. My future plan is to attend the University of Pennsylvania as a psychology major.
Bryson Mackey-My favorite band memory is going to the Monterey Jazz Festival my freshman year! I had such a great time being able to perform and spend time with friends. After high school, I plan to attend Penn State University to study Mechanical Engineering. I hope to continue music by playing in the college’s jazz ensemble.
Christopher Pang- Right now, my plans for the future are mainly focused on continuing my academic studies in college, while still practicing and enjoying music on my own. I’m going to be studying Financial Math and Statistics at UCSB, and I’m really excited to meet new people, discover new experiences, and enter the next stage of my life!
Kendrick Phan-My favorite memory would be performing at the Monterey Jazz Festival my freshman year. I will be attending community college then transfer to a 4 year university in hopes of becoming a pharmacist.

Fundraising!
Check out our current fundraising opportunities:
ShopWithScrip/RaiseRight: Buy gift cards (physical cards and e-cards) from your favorite brands and a portion goes back to MVHSIMBA. Download the RaiseRight app on your phone to easily browse over 750 restaurants, stores, online shopping sites, and more that participate.
Link a bank account or credit card in the app and purchase e-cards almost instantly for a small fee, or place the order and pay the coordinator directly with cash or check. See the flyer for instructions on how to Join a Program on the RaiseRight app with the MVHSIMBA enrollment code.
Textile Drives: We collect discarded textiles (clothing, drapery, bedding, shoes, purses, etc) for which we receive a set amount per pound. This fundraiser may occur several times a year and it
is a great way to not only support the Instrumental Music program, but a great way to clean out your closet! Our first pickup for the year is scheduled for November, but we will collect from you anytime! Text the Booster President at 949-981-5262 to arrange a pickup.
