Home Competition Volunteer Meeting

The annual WBA Marching Band Competition at Mission Viejo is Saturday October 21. This event is our biggest fundraising activity of the year, and we need your help. A quick first meeting will be held on Thursday, August 24th at 7pm in the Band Room. At the meeting we will discuss what needs to happen in the next 8 weeks, determine who can help with various aspects of the event, and to come up with a day that will work for future meetings.

If you cannot make the meeting but are willing to help, please email homecomp@mvhsmusic.com with your name, contact information, and where you want to help if you have an idea. Also, please include days that work best for you for meetings so that can be taken into consideration.

I’m looking forward to seeing everyone.

The first home football game is this Friday, 9/1. The marching band will dress in uniform, but will not wear shakos.

On Thursday afternoon, each section will meet with me to receive all additional items to complete their uniforms. The exact time is still tbd, but section leaders will update their groups during the week.

Spirit wear items and marching band shoes are arriving and we expect to receive everything in time for distribution on Thursday.

Lastly, students who volunteered during uniform fitting and wish to receive service hours for that time, remember to bring your form to me asap for signature. Service hours will be recognized by Tri-M and by MVHS toward your graduation requirement.
