 - BAND CAMP starts August 12th! Full schedule here.

- LOOKING FOR COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS AND WANT TO HELP SOME GREAT KIDS? HELP AT ORANGE COUNTY BIKE CAMP FROM AUG. 4 - AUG. 8.

     - WHAT: Help a child or young adult with a disability learn to ride a 2-wheeler bicycle without training wheels

       ORANGE COUNTY BIKE CAMP is a bike training program sponsored by the Down Syndrome Association of OC and United Cerebral Palsy-OC. The camp           takes place at Soka University in Aliso Viejo from Aug. 4-8.

     - HOW: Using specialized bikes and a proven technique, we help individuals with special needs learn to ride bikes. The bikers attend a daily 75-minute training session and use specialized bikes to help overcome their fear of falling, learn to balance, steer and brake. 

     - WHAT YOU'LL DO: Be a spotter. Volunteers work in pairs and will have a 1:1 relationship wiht each bike rider.

     - WHO YOU'LL BE: An enthusiastic, positive, encouraging volunteer who is 16 or older. Not quite 16? We can pair you up with someone 21.

     - HOW TO VOLUNTEER: Download the application here. You'll need to attend a 1.5 hour orientation on SUNDAY, AUG. 3rd, where you'll learn how to be a spotter and learn how the training curriculum works. 

     - SESSION TIMES:

     1. 8:30-9:45AM

     2. 10:05-11:20AM

     3. 11:40-12:55PM

     4. 2PM-3:15PM

     5. 3:35PM-4:50PM

You can volunteer for one or more sessions. You will be walkking or jogging along with the rider in the beautiful AIR CONDITIONED Soka University Gym until your rider is two-wheeling on a regular bike, and then you get to go outside and ride in the parking lot to practice.

Please sign up to staff the WBA Field Show Competition at MVHS this Saturday, November 2ndThis our biggest fundraiser of the year and we need everyone's participation and help to make this event a success. Please check the schedule at Monday night practice and at the Orchistra Concert on October 30th to see where you can help.
 
Might as well sign up for a couple of shifts, stay all day, enjoy the kids, music, etc. 
We will be serving some of the best food served at any field show. In fact, some might say we are famous for the food served at the Diablo Diner. Speaking of food, bakers are needed for the the Bake-sale. Bring your favorite goodies.
